Over $600,000 has been given to local agencies!
During our first 20 years, over $600,000 has been distributed to various charities in Ontario County. The money has been used to establish new programs, reach out to new segments of the community, or as 'start-up' money for completely new projects. In every instance, the proceeds from the Ontario Charities Classic have been used in ways that have made a difference to the people in our own neighborhoods.
Charity Recipients
Ontario Charities Classic has funded many exciting projects and worthwhile programs, including:
The YMCA's of Canandaigua, Clifton Springs, and Geneva--Our 'cornerstone' agencies. Annually, each YMCA uses OCC funds to buy new equipment, provide membership and program 'scholarships', to fund capital projects, and more.
Also, selected years, one or two additional charities are chosen to participate as an OCC beneficiary. Since 1990, the following charities have been involved:
